When I started my conversion project, I found similar information to this.. That the gearbox was popular in Europe for kit cars and such. What I was surprised about, is I was unable to find anyone who made adaptor rings, or custom bell housings to mate it to other engines. Here, VW and Porsche have been the trans of coice for kit cars, and dune buggies (and the like). There are a few companies in the USA that make a number of adaptor rings for VW/Porsche.
