Well, I've really given Rob Grady a hard time with his shock absorbers, but he gladly took them back & gave me credit for them. I'm the real jack-ass, though. I enjoy having a few beers and telling things like they are. The only complaint I have about Rob is that he tends to be too conservative when selling parts over the phone. Really this is good because he doesn't try to sell me parts that I may not need. So I try to quiz him about if there are any related parts that I should consider replacing too. When I bought my first DeLorean, I kept Rob on the phone for well over an hour asking about all kinds of little things. But I ended up buying a few hundred dollars worth of parts from him after that. I'm probably into the thousands by now. As for having Rob work on your car: I've never seen his shop, but I hear plenty of funny stories. Basically there are two waiting lines: the running cars & the not running cars. It can take him a while to get around to yours. And it is really amazing watching Rob eat steak. He totally covered it with a layer of salt without even tasting it first. I just kind of smirked because it reminded me of the urban legend of some guy not getting hired because he salted his food before tasting it. The company wouldn't hire this guy because he makes decisions before having all the facts (i.e., salting his steak without knowing if it needed salt or not.) And for the rest of the story: To my amazement, Rob flipped his steak over and proceeded to cover the other side with salt. Yuck! But I won't say that Rob is the stereotype of the salt legend. He just likes a little steak with his salt. That's all. ;-) Walt To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to: DMCForum-unsubscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx _____ Yahoo!
