Walt, Thanks for the info. This morning I found the cable completely bound at the "rest" position again. The spool and linkages move very freely. I surmise that since my sheath as become undone from the end cap that water is in there and freezes overnight. I'll try to find your cable grease. Baring that, I'll put anti-freeze in it. I hope not to have to though.
