Well every time I put more than a gal or 2 in something happens and I have to drain it. So till I am sure everything running correct I am only keeping enough in to run it. I tend to run 1/4 to 1/8 at the very lowest in any of my driveable cars. Even John Hervey's bottom feeder will suck air if you let fuel level drop low enough (especially on a car without lowered front end). I'd recommend running less than 25% tank only as emergency. Is risk of sucking heavy trash into pump, especially through old pickup screens. Been there, done it. Bill Robertson #5939 Yahoo!
