Bill, That's the way I have done it on other cars, and before we put them in we would also heat the lower a frame. Sometimes the lower ball joints come out pretty easy on the Delorean and the new ones need the retainer going back in. Wear in the splines. Don't forget that spring will need to be removed or compressed (Autozone also rents internal spring compressor and external McPherson strut style compressor).
