> I can't find any tech articles on replacing the steering column bushing. You probably have read some good advice so far, so I'll throw in a few pointers: As I remember, the tech article in DeLorean Magazine has you pressing in the bushing using a socket & nut & bolt. As you tighten the nut & bolt, this slowly presses the bushing in. The bushing that DMC/Texas sells is made of a soft material. Someone installed this by cutting it open, fitting it over the steering column and then pressing it in WITHOUT removing the steering column. I haven't tried this method but suspect that it would be a real bitch to do considering how little room there is to work in there. Darryl Tinnerstet sells a bushing made of black Delrin(sp?), and PJ Grady's is made of white teflon. Both of these are hard materials and could not be cut & slipped on like the DMC/Texas one. I installed one by putting a block of wood over it and practically standing on it to push it in. I installed another by using a wood stick & a hammer. Choose your weapon. Walt Yahoo!
