Checked out a set of FelPro #VS26090 at lunch. Indeed metal core with rubber facings. Not thickest in the world -- about .045" -- but imminently better than a piece of paper. Need metal core because people have tendency to over torque solid rubber. I have significant mismatch between timing chain cover and cylinder head so seated gasket in a bed of silicone. If doing same remember you need two torqings: one gentle just to flatten silicone, and one hard after it's set up. Bill Robertson #5939 Yahoo!
