Yes. Frame is welded up sheet steel, not cast. More susceptible to rust. Even in Michigan old fashioned cast frame is last thing to go on car. Of course am talking about contemporary domestics with body on fame. Unibodys were whole other ballgame. And frames today (Crown Vic) ghost of former selves. Unfortunately you don't rip through DeLo like tin foil. You crack like an old fiberglass canoe.
