You know, I always wondered about that "land on the car" remark. ("Marty, he's in a '46 Ford and we're in a DeLorean. He'd rip through us like we were tin-foil.") If a DMC-12 landed on a '46 Ford Convertible, would it really be that badly damaged? I assume the chassis and underbody of the DeLorean are sturdy; otherwise it would fold up embarrassingly when somebody bigger than a jockey got in. IIRC, the frame is carbon steel coated by epoxy, correct? Has anyone noticed it being any flimsier than other frames? Just curious. Farrar Yahoo!
