If your tach is OK can limp along pretty well using Xrefs. Lived approx 2000 miles that way. Made my own chart with MPH vertical and gears horizontal (easier to read at a glance than format on DMCNEWS site). Simplified to only include pertinent Xrefs (no 65 MPH in 3rd gear). Also played with fonts to find most quickly readable. Was sized to fit over speedo. Added benefit: dash illumination showed through paper, making chart readable at night. Will bring a copy to SEDOC in case angle drive repair doesn't hold. Re: CPR -- missed original thread so don't know what it's doing, but have thought about this on my own car. Only need variable counterpressure for cold engine and acceleration enrichment. Fixed counterpressue would allow engine to run. If mine ever becomes totally bogus will temporarily unplug electrical coils and tune engine (warm) for its fixed state. I have a fast idle provision which should compensate for loss of cold richness (it's summer anyway). Lack of acceleration enrichment could be compensated by moving spark advance to high side of throttle plates, which is where mine lives anyway. These would be temporary changes to keep car on road until new CPR showed up. Of course if your CPR is hemorrhaging fuel... Bill Robertson #5939 Yahoo!
