Slow down Resto Man. If you thought those were flames, what are you going to do when things REALLY get hot? I've been Barbequed so many times skin is now baked tough. People can say whatever they want because they're MY cars, not theirs. Are taking up space in MY driveway, not theirs. Are sucking up all MY time and patience, not theirs. When I start parking them in THEIR driveway -- then they can complain. Can dig keeping car stock. Keep Lincolns that way. Do combine elements from different designer series, but all are Mark V components. Only visible non Mark items are stereos. Of course is different story under hood. Even low compression 460's are de-emissioned and simplified. Also bypass problems inside dash as they arise. But these changes are invisible to person in passenger seat. I just didn't want quest for originality to keep your DeLo off road. You know who the welder is -- my fire department buddy. Not only does structural welding, but is genius with body panels. Will not tolerate any rust. Whereas rest of us patch or fill, he cuts out. I do have 10 vacation days that need to be used before end of year. After SEDOC, will see if I can get two of you together. DeLoreans at bottom of his Totem Pole, so would be a treat to rub his nose in yet another. One reason #5939 has made so many trips to DC is to shut him up. Of course, he gives me all this crap about my little silver car, but ask him who does most of the driving when I come up there! Even used it for his grocery shopping once (not advisable -- space limitations). You should see Doodle Bug he is currently rebuilding (outside customer). Is literally top half of car only. Floor pan and an inch or so all around body totally missing. Really puts your crumple tube in perspective.
