Totally disagree. A plug can fail or foul, leading to "spotty" misses. Coil can get weak, producing "spotty" voltage as it gets hot or RPM's increase. A plug wire can break (especially at the boots), leading to "spotty" connections. Been through them all. Do not understand reluctance to replace your ignition.
