Generally the ignition either works or doesn't. It's very rare to see an ignition system be 'spotty'. You need to come up on Sunday and check your fuel pressure. =) -Dave ----- Original Message ----- From: cruznmd To: DMCForum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, August 21, 2003 8:10 AM Subject: [DMCForum] Full power problems Next order of business: SOMEthing is going on with my car. It always starts, idles well. Hot or cold. I can't get full power, or perhaps I should say I can't get full power all the time. Yesterday, I discovered that the advance solenoid plug -looked- plugged in but in fact was not. As soon as I fixed that, the engine idle improved even better, and when revving the engine, the RPM's would spike much more easily. Since I had just replaced the steering rack boot, it was ok to test drive. I had great power. I was zipping through the neighborhood. I came home and ate some chow. Around 9 pm I decided I wanted to run it again to make damn sure I fixed things. Instead, the car was totally feeble, cold and hot. When revving, it seemed to be missing on a cylinder, or starving for fuel, I'm not sure which. Mike C: It almost seems to do what your car did; Drive a bit and lose power as you go. It's done this "good power/no power" thing to me 2 or 3 times now. What do you think, Fuel or spark? Any ideas? Yahoo!
