Walt,

It's my understanding that no part of the exhaust system 
is "supposed" to glow. I made mine glow twice by accident. It was 
explained to me as raw, unburned fuel dumping into the cat and 
burning there. So....I think you're still too rich.

I believe if you keep that up, it will fuse the cat guts and you may 
incurr a clogged exhaust.

I agree that if nothing you do affects the freq valve duty cycle then 
your O2 sensor or lambda box may be dead. (although I've been told 
that the lambda computer never fails)

Hm, also now that I think about it, a stuck WOT microswitch will also 
override the lambda computer and freeze the duty cycle. I think mine 
may do this. I need to put my multi meter on it.
