Thanks for all the warm words guys. Progress is good. I hope Dave S. is checking the list today... Now that I'm calmer...what did I prove by this experiment? What conclusions can I draw? I may be wrong here, but I'm down to 1 or 2 things, or a combination of both: 1. Compression is too poor to support self-sustaining combustion, or 2. Spark is so weak, that it took a drastic increase in compression, by putting oil in the cylinders plus the extreme volatility of ether to create an environment where strong enough combustion could occur.
