No I used white grease, cause that is the same stuff I use on everything
but
bearings.

The problems happen as you are waiting for the oil to get hot enough to
melt
the grease.  I don't know if the oil gets hot enough to melt wheel bearing
grease.

If you were to pull apart an engine that is assembled with grease you
would
find alot more initial wear than if you used assembly lube.  Sure you can
use grease if you don't have anything else but it is not the best or
preferred method.
