WILL WE SEE IT?!!! Yeah Avi, but will we see you? Are you going to Pigeon Forge? If all goes well, you will see my "lovely new hand-built engine" from Darren Bowker & Martin. We aren't even sure what it is going to be yet. We are talking about starting with a block from an Alpine A610 which is a turbo PRV starting at 250BHP. By doing standard souped-up stuff, etc. it will be around 350BHP when done. But I'm not entirely sure I want to do something this big or expensive. The next alternative down is a normally aspirated 3 litre, 24 valve PRV. First he has to find the A610 block which they say is as rare as rocking horse shit. Both engines would have distributorless ignition, electronic fuel injection, Emerald engine management that can interface with a Windoze laptop. Just how much fun can this be? The advantage of importing a PRV from across the pond is that it should bolt right in place of the DeLorean's original PRV. But with this much horsepower I'll be finding a different transmission anyway. Do y'all think it would be worth having turbos with 350 BHP when I could still get 250 BHP from a normally aspirated engine? Walt Yahoo!
