[DMCForum] Walts monster motor ...was: Martin's lovely new hand-built engine

Walt - are you 2 fast and 2 furious ?

I am always amazed how much hp american cars have. On the paper.

How fast do you wanna go with a Delorean ? And where can you drive it so
fast ?
Is gas still so much cheaper than over here ?
How reliable are turbos ? In well engineered massproduct cars ? And how
reliable are
they in custom cars ? Is it worth spending a fortune to replace them after
20 to 50k miles again ?
(OK, I heared that there are some reliable out there, but how many are NOT
reliable and how
many hp do they produce ? 200 ?)

I'd say 250hp from a normally aspirated engine is pretty good and enough
for
a car
with such bad brakes and a shaking steering.

But I guess it must be fun to drive this car with the hp that most people
think this car already has.
This is seen from the view of one who only has one Delorean and wants to
keep it original.
If I had three...who knows...
