But it just keeps running. In my experince I have to hold the lever down untill the wipers reach "12 o'clock", then release. This goes for both switching them on AND off... Do any other cars have this system where you have to let the wipers drag/jump/screech across a dry windshield to turn them off? If you can do without the intermittant setting and are willing to hold the lever for a couple of wipes after using the washer you can allways just remove the electronics...
