I've had the same problem with my wipers. I have a system to get them to turn off... hold down the lever and then let the wipers go completely across the windshield then when they are down to the rest position start to count to 5... # 1 is when they are in rest position then let them go back up to the top thats #2 then back down to rest #3 top again #4 and finally when they go down to the rest position that one last time let go of the lever. That should turn them off. Or you could just turn the ignition off and then back on real fast the next time they won't go off. Just make sure you are on a stretch of road that is straight so u don't lock up the steering wheel and crash the car. Let me know if that helps.
