I have such a car (VIN 06049).. Although I am not actively trying to sell it, I'd consider it for the right price. It was my intention to do a SS frame, and Hi-Po engine conversion as soon as I get done with my work on the conversion for #06068.... Yes, they are close cousins! The car runs (I drove it home), but the engine has lots of miles on it (I am told). Trans shifts fine, and the body is in great shape! The frame however needs help. It has already been patched in a few places, and could probably be again. -----Original Message----- From: dmcjohn [mailto:dmcjohn@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, May 12, 2003 2:20 PM To: DMCForum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [DMCForum] some questions! <SNIP> 7. I'm planning on buying another DMC when I get back to the USA full time, to do a complete restoration/customisation. I'll be looking for a car with a really bad frame (so I can buy an SS frame for it), also with bad drivetrain, so that also can be replaced with probably a Porsche transmission and a better engine. Anyone know of such a car at the moment? <SNIP> Yahoo!
