Just dont let it drain down EVER it will die. The gel inside does not like to be run down. Eric is correct, if left unhooked they will last a long time as well as in a daily driver but in your case Greg if you had the optima you could be in more trouble. My D has gone thru about 5 Optima batteries all cause I forgot to unhook them. My Optima battery sat unhooked in my car for 8 months this year- and when I needed to go again I just hooked it up and turned the key- no recharging/jump required. I don't mind paying the extra for it; just want to make sure it is a good investment. Standing in a cold parking lot in the middle of nowhere with my inverter running and hearing *click* when I try to start it really sucks. I read about a few people on here having problems with them. Greg, When I bought an Optima for my DeLorean, the parts store didn't have a listing for DeLorean's in the optima catalog- I just hand picked out one with all the correct features. If you can find one that fits your truck, and you wanna give $200 for it, do it. From my experience, Optima batteries are superior and worth the money.
