I don't have a press either. Since I live in a condo with a one car garage,
I just don't have the room for one. So I end up having to spend a few extra
bucks getting stuff that's already "pressed". In the case of the front
bearings (part #100404), you can get them from John for $15 per wheel. But
I liked the idea of having nice parts that have been bead blasted (again,
no room for a blasting cabinet). So I ended up paying the extra $45 per hub
to have John do all that. Like his calipers, he ships them out to you
first, then you ship the old ones back. That way it won't take you very
long to do the job.

The only plastic parts I noticed on my bearings were the seals and the
spacers that kept the ball bearings equally spaced apart.
