[DMCForum] Re: Gas alternatives, then?

Well I for one am in the process in the next month or so to convert a
nice Diesel Rabbit I bought off eBay.

Me and my father will be performing the greasel conversion on it
hopefully soon.

I'll be converting the trunk space to use the 12 gallon greasel tank.

Then afterwards, I'll be using diesel fual only for the startup and
shutdown cycles of the engine.

I would like to maybe have this set up before winter, but at least by
next spring. Hell, gas again went up another 14 cents overnight again
fom $2.55 to $2.69.

I can't get this installed and functional soon enough.

Hopefully I can report back someday soon when I'm driving that car
ony my own home brew gasoline.

Me and my father have had volkswagen diesels for years, but sold the
las tone right when the vegetable oil phase was coming into play.

Both our diesels we sold were used in vegetable oil conversions, and
still are running today.

Luckily the VW I just picked up is in MUCH better shape than the ones
we sold. The last one was sold with 278,490 miles on it.

Hopefully I can start using it soon as well.

Later,

Joe
