Ryan,
Years ago, the natural gas industry, competed with the coal industry,
who competed with the oil industry.  NOW they are all the same company.
  NO Competition.
Coal can be easily made into oil.  In fact,  South Africa,  who has
huge coal reserves, but no oil.  Gets ALL there gasoline from coal.
With their diamond and gold exports,  they could easily import oil, but
they are smarter and convert their coal to oil.
You may also be interested to know that the whole German war machine in
WWII was run on gasoline made from coal.
The US also used to make coal into oil in the Dakotas.  There was an
80,000 Bpd plant.  BUT GUESS what?
Regan shut it down.   Humm?   Repugnican plot to get rid of oil
refining capability?
The US has 1,000 years of coal reserves that can be made into oil.
Just remember who are the 49% owners of mideast oil.   The oil
companies-not the arabs.
