Perhaps I was unclear -- I am happy as a pig in mud with my
Motorcraft. Am not in any hurry to try anything else (remember also: I
have to make custom adapters to mate each carb to my intake manifold).
I'm no expert Re: Carter carbs, but I know there is much unhappiness
with the 2 barrel emissioned BBD (AMC's choice for late model 258's).
Suffer age related issues. I believe there's an external vacuum signal
needed from some source other than the manifold to idle correctly.
