Ryan - I know that a possible bad bearing has been mentioned. You can
remove the belt, and rotate the idler pulleys by hand. When the
bearings start to go, you can feel it while turning the pulley. They
should turn very smoothly with absolutely no feeling of grinding or
binding. They are not expensive, and are very easy to change. One of
our members was in a DeLorean caravan coming back from a rally. One
of the bearings seized, and it sheared off the pivot bolt that the
pulley rides on. The pulley dropped out the back of his car, bounced
once on the highway, and I caught it in my left hand turn signal
light. What a surprise, to say the least.
PLease let me know if I can be of help to you! Thanks.
