Since you are going to the actuators regardless, you can check for a few
things to insure they will work properly. First, disconnect the Lockzilla.
With one door locked and the other unlocked, make sure both trigger wires
are grounded (the brown/pink and brown/slate ones). Now switch both doors
from being locked/unlocked and check the trigger wires again. If both
remain grounded, then your switches in the door are fine and so is the
wiring. Since you already tested both solenoids individually, we already
know the power wiring is working.
Assuming the Lockzilla is in good working condition, then you should be all
set for the actuators. Later on if you feel like treating yourself, get a
basic keyless entry system or better yet, a Wings-a-loft kit from DPNW.
It's truly a wonderful thing to never have to use keys or a door handle to
get into the DeLorean!
