Excellent, glad to hear it - this will of course mean you'll need a dump
valve but you won't be blowing oil seals on the turbos either.

You too? :-) They're called Chargecoolers BTW and pioneered by Lotus. I
don't know if you've seen the photos of matie who's dropped an Esprit V8
in his D - he's done chargecoolers too but the placement of his pre-rad
is totally wrong (IMO). I've already had a pre-rad made that mounts
behind the front grill - there's anough room there for a pre-rad about
twice the size of the Lotus ones. Would you like to buy one? :-) I'm
going to be going to Pace products for a 4 core chargecooler and
probably twin 2-core coolers for the esprit V8 we're doing.

I like it - and in fact it could have been made for the Renault turbo
PRVs because the throttle body sits directly in the middle pointing up.
The only snag is the length of pipwork - are you going to turn the
turbos around?

I am not the expert here but I can certainly put you onto a man who is.
The theory is sound. You'll probably find that a trip to a rolling road
with some primary pressure regulator shims will allow you to fine-tune it.

Though you do realise that setting the timing on the knock sensor is a
ham-fisted way of doing things to say the least....
BTW the TEC3 does support electronic ignition for an odd-fire engine.
You could weld up the bob-weights in the dizzy and simply run the ecu
"in the background" - it'd all look exactly the same.
