I've only been riding it around the yard to get practice.  I
haven't used shoes or even a helmet for that.  But
upshifting is killing the top of my foot.  It had been about
30 years since I was good at riding a bicycle.  They say you
never forget.  Well, I forgot.  So far I've only 'logged'
about 6 miles on this thing -- all of it in my driveway.
Fun fun.
