Has anyone experienced a problem where if you leave the car parked 
outside during a long rain, the alternator appears to get 
waterlogged?

The symptoms included running way below nominal voltage output for 
30 seconds to a couple of minutes, then voltage shoots up where it's 
supposed to be. An abmormal whine may or may not accompany these 
symptoms. Belt slippage did not occurr. I checked that.

I'm running a rebuilt OEM Ducillier altnernator. I didn't know about 
alternatives when I had it rebuilt.
