Ireland is so cold at the moment that I actually leave the windows up 
and turn the heater to max!
On summer days when it is fairly warm, I think the windows cool the 
car down fine. If they are not bringing in enough air, you need to 
drive faster! 
When I was in Boston during the hot summer days with my DeLorean, I 
nearly passed out from the heat inside the car, and in that 
situation, putting down the windows did not help much, so I'd just 
open the door. I don't know how illegal this is, but I did drive past 
a traffic cop directing traffic with the door open, and he didn't say 
anything...
