Once again I'm forced to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed
man. Learn to read in context. If you have 12v acrosss the pump you
have no bad grounds. Your statement is correct only if you didn't
comprehend what came before.

and attach it to the block<

Thats what I said, a known good reference at the *source*. Battery
post is best.

Again, learn to read in context. The use of starting fluid is only to
differenciate between fuel or ignition problems and determines the
flow path for future diagnostics. If this guy had a fuel test setup
or knew how to fully use a DMM he wouldn't need to mess around with
these kinds of half assed troubshooting methods in the first place.
He needs basic help. Don't confuse him even more than he already is,
you do that well enough with yourself.

The condition of your car and it's reliability is evidence of your
abilities. For example, I found your post about leaking coolant hoses
amusing. Why you would reveal how your piss poor "renginnering" of
the cooling system failed and then boast how easy it is to repair is
beyond me. And why does an individual who professes to be
knowledgable about repair and maintenance feel the need to travel
around with a 3 ton jack and a car full of tools? (I typically ignore
them but if you'd like me to point out the stupidity in most of your
post's I'd be glad to oblige in the future).

Btw, exactly how long have you held a BSEE? It's been 25 years for
me. Same with A/C, how long have you been licensed? I'll be happy to
educate you on basic electrical/electronic theory as well the proper
use of test equipment in these areas. Of course, that's assuming you
own something other than a $10 Radio Shack DMM and a hose to evac A/C
systems using the engine.

You know Bill, changing villages doesn't change the idiot. If fact,
if the new village has more technically savvy people the idiot only
looks worse.
