When I bought my DeLorean, I had to replace all but 1 part of the fuel
system.

If you are low on gas, sucking up some air is easy to do. The pump is
a self primer, meaning the gas keeps it lubed up. Thats why you hear
people say never to just run the pump outside the tank for any period
of time. Otherwise you will ruin the pump.

If you do go ahead and replace the pump, or hoses I would definitely
recommend the new baffle unit sold by SpecialTAuto. In my mind, it
simplifies the baffle unit considerable. If you have never seen the
baffle and its setep, I would consider at least looking at it.

My D had the original fuel accumulator on it when I finally replaced
it. That was the hardest part to replace and I had the DeLorean up in
the air on a lift! The lines connected to the old accumulator just
would not come off. Finally pryed them off, destroying the old
accumulator connectors in the process. 

Also, in the process the plastic gas line hose with weaved thread (or
whatever it is) was broke in 3 different places. Had to replace with
fuel injection hose. Not sure if that was common or not, but just be
prepared to due so just in case.
