Hi,
I'm about to start work on my fuel pump system.  I have been having
hot start problems and then one night I was driving home and the car
whinned in the front and started to convulse and buck all around.
Well, if this doesn't sound like a fuel pump problem then I don't
know any more. (I am right...right??)  :)
So... As a do it yourself kind of guy I want to put a new one in
myself.  I just nspected the fuel systme so far and it looks like
the hoses and rubber seals are in good condition!  The top nut on
the pump looks a bit rusty which indicates that I may have some
moisture... let's hope not.  But I have not completely remoed any
one part of the system yet becasue I wanted to double check that I'm
not going to rip something out that I shouldn't.  I did a few
searches on fuel system repauir but it doesn't seem to be covered
very much.
I'm also considering replacing the accumulator and perhaps the
coil... just to update the system a bit.  Is this a good idea or not
really neccessary?
Any thoughts or help is greatly appreciated!!
Brian
