Could this be the problem?   http://www.specialtauto.com/delorean-
images/Prim-press-regulator-1.jpg   Especially if someone messed 
with the distributor, this link to John's site could be the answer.  
Sorry I can't comment on your fuel pressure readings.  Hope you find
