[DMCForum] TAB removal

Ok,
after consulting the DMCnews archives, I've read the photos and
articles. Dave S. reminded me that the bolt appeared "siezed" at the
tech session last year. He said the bolt wouldn't turn and the T.A.
move up and down when he tried. According to literature, that is the
sign of a bent TAB.
At that point, we should have gotten an angle grinder hooked up to my
compressor and cut it out. Well I'm alive to learn the lesson.
Now, based on pictures and sounds I believe the bolt snapped on the
inner (head) side because I heard all of my shims and washers hit the
road with a musical clingling sound.
To me, this means the bolt can be remove 1 or 2 ways:
1. Undo the nut and push the bolt back through the T.A.
2. Ditto, except cut the bent part off and pull what's left through
the other way.
What about the head end? Is it likely bent and trapped in the frame?
How would it be removed?
Rich A.
