[DMCForum] Synthetic 20W-50 motor oil for the tranny?

Has anyone tried this before? Any reason NOT to go this route? The factory recommended 80 weight oil just seems too thick for performance driving, and I know (for the engine) 5W-30 makes a difference... so why not go thinner in the tranny, too?
