[DMCForum] Re: Group Events for Rich A

DeLorean related. Shame on you. And you're a married man...

No one ever told me they made a high compresion PRV. Only recently
been reading in depth about Douvrin. Was suspicious even before this
trip (Volvo's B280 is 9.5:1, even fire -- I want one of those).
Brought R42 plugs as spares rather than R44's. Swapped in a
Fayetteville parking lot (HR9's were a joke. Came out cleaner than
new). Burned 93 octane to NJ on a hunch. Rob Grady just confirmed.

Have timed the ever living mess out of my engine. Back to 10, then
start predetonating. Up to 13 and lose power. Back and forth.
Hopefully those days are behind me now. R44's came out OK on side of
engine without vacuum leak, but engine definitely likes R42's better.
Even stuck in I-95 traffic with the A/C condensor active was no sweat.
I'm going to call engine compartment finished and move to interior.

Oh, did buy one of Darryl Tinnerstet's Volvo water pump pulleys. Am
going to carry in the car in case DeLo pump ever starts leaking on a
trip. Guess I'd better carry hoses & O rings too.

If you and Mike ever do anything major DeLo related in DC area, please
advertise. Might even be able to caravan with Louie in his new ride.

Keep us updated on the wheel studs. Remember: slow RPM's, steady
pressure, and lots of cutting oil. Believe it or not drilled a 1/4"
thick stainless bracket for radiator pipe with steel bits (good bits
left at someone else's house) before this trip. Took me more than an hour.
