As my father owns and runs a blasting company this is right up my ally; this is true, sandblasting also creates a lot more dust, which is bad for your health when you inhale this. Beadblasting would be a lot less invasive, but becuase of that it can take much longer to get all old paint off. Ant that imposes another problem: the constand collisions of the media with the object you're treating introduces heat and force into your object. This heat and force together can cause serious warping of your objects, especially with items as small and thin as these doors. My advice would be toget off the paint with a chemical paint remover. This might not leave as clean a surface as blasting would, but since you really don't see the flaps in normal operation I don't see that as a problem. Good luck, JAN van de Wouw Thinking Different...
