The system is under 5 bar at running pressure, at rest, it's under 1.5
bar or so, which is still enough to hit you in the eye and to dump quite
a bit of fuel if you crack a hose off. Leave it overnight and it'll just
dribble.

5 bar isn't much in the general scheme of things, but it's still too
high for a jubilee clip, which is why I think certain "repairs" I've
seen to replce a seized fuel filter elbow are playing with fire (pun
intended).
