Hi Richard,
           I took my D' down to the South of France a few years back.
Had a great time. If you get the chance go to the Carlton Hotel in 
Cannes for dinner for some great food. (Valet parking fighting for 
the keys!)
 Another place not to miss is the Louis XV In the Hotel de Paris in 
Monte-Carlo run by Chef Alain Ducasse. This is the best and I mean
the BEST place to eat that I have ever been to.
 Go to Lunch (aprox £60 each) as dinner will set you back about £120 
each. Worth every penny for a 4 hour lunch!
