It is basically as simple as this, the car was classified under an
item of 'historical interest' code and hence attracted the BTI /
reduction in duty / tax. Due to the large increase in imports over
the last year customs etc have become 'wise' to the fact that these
are not as 'rare' as they first thought.

Unfortunatley I along with others who have imported cars over the
last year have contributed to this 'wisening' up at C&E and
unfortunatley now there is very little hope or a case of argument to
prove this otherwise wrong .
