RE: [doc] No Go

Easiest way to check for any drain on the battery is to disconnect the -ve lead on the car battery. Put a meter (set on Current or Amps) between the battery post and earth lead and see what the current draw is should ideally be less then 0.05 amps with everything turned off. If not then remove each fuse from the fusebox in turn until the reading drops to less than 0.05amps. The fault is then on that circuit you have just removed the fuse from (page 243 in workshop manual). If you still get a high reading then try disconnecting the alternator wires from the alternator as you can have sometimes have a leaky diode in the rectifier. I'm assuming you're checked for any boot/ bonnet lights are not stuck on etc. and that the stereo in the car has been disconnected etc.

Good luck.

Nick.

It does sound like a faulty battery Paul, are you sure you've not got a

Help I have a starting issue again....

I put my D out on the drive at 8:30 this morning, and that is where it has
been all day until now. 9 hours During that time it has been happily baking
at 34 degrees!!! I just went out to put it away, and it won't start....

It seems to be the same symptoms I have a few weeks ago, where not even the
solenoid if firing to turn the starter.

Obviously this is heat related, but where, what is failing in this
temperature

Please help going nowhere fast.

Paul
