RE: [doc] FW: Grand Prix Historique de Monaco

I went to Monaco last year for the Grand Prix with some Italian friends, (no prizes for guessing their favourite team:), so I did get the chance to look over the way the cicuit was formed. You are right, it is simply an assortment of existing roads, connected for the use of the race. However, trying to use these roads post the official race period, would be impossible, as some would require you to drive the wrong way up a one way street. Also, with trafic on the roads, with a few exceptions, the track can not be driven at any sort of speed approaching the exciting. So you see, it would be great to see if the Deloreans would be allowed their own laps of honour on the track. Lets let Chris negotiate this one:) By the way Chris, thanks for the members pack, I have been showing my DMC cardto all that will look, and boring many in the process about the car too.:)

Isn't the track the roads around the town anyway ? So it could still be done.

Chris,

the trip sounds wonderful, but I take it we wouldn't be able to take the Deloreans onto the Monaco circuit? Looking at the race groups in the second trip option, I only see cars pre 79, and all of the racing type. If requested, would we be able to get the opportunity to take the Deloreans onto the track. A multiple of Deloreans making their way around the track would really drive the crouds wild, what a sight! Or maybe I'm just biased:) If we were able, I'd be very interested indeed....
