Alley Palley

Hi Guys
Sorry to be the bearere of bad news but the DOC do not have a
club stand at the Alley palley show on 9th & 10 th March 2002. I have only
just recivevd conformation even though they should have notified us by the
17th January 2002.

The previous shows have always been organised by Greenwoods Exhibitions and
about 7 years ago they had a last miniute cancellation and Simon Lees-Milne
was happy to help out. Since then they have always reserved a stand for us.
However this year E-map are the organisors & the show is being hosted no
other than by Quentin Wilson (Say no more).

I appologise to Claire and Dave from Stevenage and Chris Nicolson who wanted
to show their pride and joys at Alley Palley, hopefully we might be accepted
next year.

We still havent receved paperwork for the May NEC Supercar show but they
promise us it is on the way. Subject to the May show going ahead, I have
organised with Dave Howarth that Claire & Dave have first refusal to show
their car. It looks like it will be a small stand in May & we should be able
to get at least 2 cars on, but don't quote me on this.

After speaking with Chris Nicolson, he and I would still like to meet up
with the normal gang at Alley Palley for a general chit chat and of course
it will posibley be the last meet in the UK for Chris for some time. It
would be easier for me to go on the Saturday and it has always been less
busier on that day.

Just to also let you guys now, we have an all time youngest member of the
club, my new son Jason Patrick who was born on the 7th Feb 2002 9lb 14oz. I
hope our Club Secretary doesnt send me a £15 membership bill for him a well.
