Nick, the owner has actually started the car, and at 4000rpm the car moves. Is this good or bad. Seems good that the gearbox works a bit!

You may be lucky with the auto in that it just may be low on oil, the brake bands needs adjustment (assuming the oil is NOT brown) or the automatic computer needs a rebuild.

After a year and a half of De Lorean obsession, and plenty of overtime, I am the proud new owner of VIN 4087!!! It has a black interior with automatic transmission with 30,000 on the clock. At the moment we are just waiting on Transcar collecting it (They have been very helpful) from Texas, bringing it to Florida, then onto Southampton!

The car on the whole is in ok condition, but will possibly need a new transmission (gears are slipping). It has been sitting in a warehouse for 8 years, and has only ever been registered under the original owner. The owner started the engine first time about 2 weeks ago (the mechanic who inspected it for us said that was crazy, but at least it works!)

So, the next few months/year are going to be very exciting for myself as I restore this car. I would like to thank the whole club for their invaluable advice and patience and without them, its safe to say I would not have the car today. Thanks guys

Also, I will possibly need a new auto trans and the workshop manual. If anybody has either one, please contact me. Thanks
