RE: [doc] Re: BBC 4(Dodgy 400!!)

Yes John, my stills.

Regarding the early vins, most of these cars are now sorted, I like the idea
of an early vin, but we cannot deny that the quality that left the factory
did improve over the period of production.

Backy is 51 from the end , I would like vin 551, (Mick Kerfoot?s car) but
cant afford it, I know Mick has done loads of work and spent loads on money
already.

I honestly don?t think a matters one jot, if your car is the first or the
last off the line. The thing that is important is, has it been looked after?
Had it been upgraded? Is it in good condition?
Some folk go about ?oh its got a gas flap? or Oh its got bonnet groves, or
oh its this or that

?..It?s a DeLorean!   Any and All DeLorean are very special.

The average bloke in the street could not tell one from the other?IMO.

Regards

Chrispy

A fair and interesting film. I assume most of the stills came from
CP? As for the 'Dodgy 400' all the cars are 20+ years old.

Many of the 'features' of the early cars are seen on 'Boeing', extra
holes in the luggage area, lots of fibreglass resin/glue where the
main pieces fit together, wires which don't appear in the manual etc.

IMHO, by now they reflect the care and attention given to them over
the years by their owners. I am proud to own a DeLorean, early
cars/late cars, the condition they are in now cannot be linked only
to their VIN number.
