[doc] rough idle

Can anyone point me in the right direction. My engine has a rough idle
, all the systems seem to be working fine although the hydro 
carbons are reading very high. A fuel pump relay was replaced as the 
old one (not factory) was causing the fuel to be cut of at 4,500rpm 
the new one now goes up to 5,500rpm, could the fuel pump relay cause 
a rough idle? if it has anything to do with the engine management 
system. Any help much appreciated.
