Thomas, I hear what you are saying about the 5 yearly Eurofest, but I have attended several times before. And even I, do have other interests! It will be great pity if the track (I presume that is what you mean by the facilities) gets destroyed or re-developed. We have discussed this subject on many occasions but if I lived in N.I. I would be trying my hardest to get the test track "Listed". If they can do that for the old "H blocks", how much more deserving is the factory that brought both the communities working together in harmony, despite the chaos going on out side the factory gates. Regarding the insurance of the Gold Car, I'm afraid insurance is a fact of life these days. I have (personally) funded £15,000,000.00 of insurance to enable us to drive our cars around the Lotus Test track. This is one of the reasons that our Lotus event is a "One Off" and not to missed. The cars were obviously built in N.I. and we all have a great affection for the plant and test track and former workers, but without the Lotus re-engineering and making it a viable production car, there would have been no production DeLorean car. It is also very nice, that one our Guest speakers, Mike Kimberly, who was heavily involved with the DeLorean project and C.E.O. of Lotus from 83-91, has just been re-appointed Lotus Chief again, at the age of 67!!! He should have a few tales to tell us. Regards ? Chris P DOC 2. ? ? The facitilities might not be there for the next Eurofest. Thomas Vin #4087 ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> You can search right from your browser?
